The 2010 Midwinters East, an ISAF Grade 1 event, was hosted by the Clearwater Yacht Club Feburary 17-21. In the end, 198 sailors from 30 countries (!!) descended upon Clearwater Beach, Florida, for four days of top level racing. After 8 races in mostly light conditions, Emil Cedergardh from Sweden bested Canadian Lee Parkhill and German Simon Groteluschen in the Standard Fleet. In Radials, Paige Railey turned on the jets in her home waters to beat Canadian Lisa Ross and Dane Maiken Foght Schutt. And in the 4.7s, Columbian Esteban Echavarria beat Puero Rican Juanky Perdomo and Ravi Parent.
